   I’ve been wearing Chypre Palatin on and off for a few weeks now (2012). The base rests on Tolu Balsam and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The heart is the best part for me: Plum and Rose feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I picked up Chypre Palatin (2012) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Galbanum/Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Galbanum alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A decant of Chypre Palatin sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Galbanum and Aldehydes — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Galbanum with a hint of Aldehydes — it grabs attention without being pushy. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Chypre Palatin. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Plum with Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Galbanum and Aldehydes — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   For a 2012 release, Chypre Palatin deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Galbanum/Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Galbanum alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

The base rests on Tolu Balsam and Oakmoss — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

    My first MDCI Parfums experience was this one, Chypre Palatin (2012). Right away I get mostly Galbanum alongside Aldehydes, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Galbanum/Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I would happily buy a full bottle.
