   I picked up Winter Palace (2019) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Vanilla and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Vanilla and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I keep reaching for Winter Palace more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Red tea with Mate, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Lemon/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I have owned Winter Palace for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Lemon and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I’ve been wearing Winter Palace on and off for a few weeks now (2019). The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Lemon and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Give it a little time and Red tea with Mate comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A couple of wears in, Winter Palace has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Lemon with a hint of Bergamot — it grabs attention without being pushy. The heart is the best part for me: Red tea and Mate feel carefully balanced. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
