   I have owned Mercedes-Benz Cologne for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Musk and Vetiver come through and give it real depth. The very first sniff is crisp Grapefruit with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   I keep reaching for Mercedes-Benz Cologne more than I expected to. The opening is built around Grapefruit and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Grapefruit/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

Give it a little time and Lemon Verbena with Ginger comes forward — smooth and well done. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   My first Mercedes-Benz experience was this one, Mercedes-Benz Cologne (2016). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lemon Verbena with Ginger, which is where the fragrance really shines. Give it a little time and Lemon Verbena with Ginger comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Everyone keeps talking about Mercedes-Benz Cologne, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Grapefruit alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Lemon Verbena and Ginger feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The drydown leans on Musk plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. The composition is well made but not for me.
