   Picked up a sample of Amber & Spices after reading the community buzz (2009). Give it a little time and Agarwood (Oud) with Caraway comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Amber and Ebony Wood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Picked up a sample of Amber & Spices after reading the community buzz (2009). The drydown leans on Amber plus Ebony Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Rose alongside Nutmeg, fresh and very easy to wear. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Montale knows how to compose, and Amber & Spices (2009) is proof. Right away I get mostly Rose alongside Nutmeg, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Agarwood (Oud) with Caraway, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Picked up a sample of Amber & Spices after reading the community buzz (2009). The first minutes are all about Rose with a hint of Nutmeg — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Amber plus Ebony Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   Everyone keeps talking about Amber & Spices, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Rose/Nutmeg impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Agarwood (Oud) and Caraway feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
