   My first Montale experience was this one, Aoud Forest (2009). Give it a little time and Sea water with Rosemary comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sea water with Rosemary, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Aoud Forest. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sea water with Rosemary, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Sea water and Rosemary feel carefully balanced. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.
