   For a 2016 release, Aoud Lagoon deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Tiare Flower with Lotus comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Guaiac Wood plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I picked up Aoud Lagoon (2016) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Right away I get mostly Osmanthus alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Guaiac Wood and Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   My first Montale experience was this one, Aoud Lagoon (2016). The heart is the best part for me: Tiare Flower and Lotus feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Osmanthus alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I keep reaching for Aoud Lagoon more than I expected to. The opening is built around Osmanthus and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Tiare Flower and Lotus feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Everyone keeps talking about Aoud Lagoon, so I finally gave it a proper test. That first spray gives a lovely Osmanthus/Mandarin Orange impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tiare Flower with Lotus, which is where the fragrance really shines. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
