   A friend passed me a decant of Intense Cherry (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Black cherry, fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Bergamot and Black cherry — bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Intense Cherry. Give it a little time and Rose Petals with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Black cherry — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   My first Montale experience was this one, Intense Cherry (2017). Give it a little time and Rose Petals with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose Petals with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Picked up a sample of Intense Cherry after reading the community buzz (2017). As it settles, Musk and Vanilla come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Musk plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I’ve been wearing Intense Cherry on and off for a few weeks now (2017). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose Petals with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Rose Petals and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   For a 2017 release, Intense Cherry deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Rose Petals and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. The base rests on Musk and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.
