Picked up a sample of Intense Pepper after reading the community buzz (2014). The base rests on Cedar and Agarwood (Oud) — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Black Pepper and Sicilian Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

Montale knows how to compose, and Intense Pepper (2014) is proof. Right away I get mostly Black Pepper alongside Sicilian Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Floral Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Intense Pepper. That first spray gives a lovely Black Pepper/Sicilian Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Black Pepper with a hint of Sicilian Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

My first Montale experience was this one, Intense Pepper (2014). The base rests on Cedar and Agarwood (Oud) — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Cedar and Agarwood (Oud) come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I have owned Intense Pepper for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Floral Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Floral Notes feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I’ve been wearing Intense Pepper on and off for a few weeks now (2014). The drydown leans on Cedar plus Agarwood (Oud) and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Montale knows how to compose, and Intense Pepper (2014) is proof. The very first sniff is crisp Black Pepper with Sicilian Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. The opening is built around Black Pepper and Sicilian Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

Everyone keeps talking about Intense Pepper, so I finally gave it a proper test. Give it a little time and Floral Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Cedar plus Agarwood (Oud) and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Picked up a sample of Intense Pepper after reading the community buzz (2014). As it settles, Cedar and Agarwood (Oud) come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Floral Notes, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

I keep reaching for Intense Pepper more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Floral Notes, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Cedar and Agarwood (Oud) — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
