I keep reaching for Vanilla Extasy more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Vanilla with Ylang-Ylang comes forward β€” smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I would happily buy a full bottle.

For a 2008 release, Vanilla Extasy deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Benzoin and Sandalwood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Apricot with a hint of Apricot Blossom β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

A friend passed me a decant of Vanilla Extasy (2008) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The opening is built around Apricot and Apricot Blossom β€” bright and immediately recognizable. The very first sniff is crisp Apricot with Apricot Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

For a 2008 release, Vanilla Extasy deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Apricot alongside Apricot Blossom, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I keep reaching for Vanilla Extasy more than I expected to. The base rests on Benzoin and Sandalwood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Benzoin and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

I’ve been wearing Vanilla Extasy on and off for a few weeks now (2008). As it settles, Benzoin and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Benzoin plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

For a 2008 release, Vanilla Extasy deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vanilla with Ylang-Ylang, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Benzoin and Sandalwood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I picked up Vanilla Extasy (2008) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Apricot with Apricot Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Benzoin and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

My first Montale experience was this one, Vanilla Extasy (2008). The very first sniff is crisp Apricot with Apricot Blossom peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Benzoin and Sandalwood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
