Picked up a sample of Wild Pears after reading the community buzz (2011). The base rests on Musk and Vanille β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Pear with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

My first Montale experience was this one, Wild Pears (2011). The first minutes are all about Pear with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Musk plus Vanille and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Wild Pears. The drydown leans on Musk plus Vanille and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Pear and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

For a 2011 release, Wild Pears deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Musk and Vanille β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Musk and Vanille come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

A couple of wears in, Wild Pears has really grown on me. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. The base rests on Musk and Vanille β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

A friend passed me a decant of Wild Pears (2011) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Musk and Vanille come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Musk plus Vanille and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I wanted to like it more than I did.

I’ve been wearing Wild Pears on and off for a few weeks now (2011). That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

A decant of Wild Pears sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Pear and Bergamot β€” bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Carnation with Lily-of-the-Valley, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

For a 2011 release, Wild Pears deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Carnation and Lily-of-the-Valley feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Musk and Vanille come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Well done β€” recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I’ve been wearing Wild Pears on and off for a few weeks now (2011). The drydown leans on Musk plus Vanille and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Give it a little time and Carnation with Lily-of-the-Valley comes forward β€” smooth and well done. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

Everyone keeps talking about Wild Pears, so I finally gave it a proper test. As it settles, Musk and Vanille come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Pear/Bergamot impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I keep reaching for Wild Pears more than I expected to. The heart is the best part for me: Carnation and Lily-of-the-Valley feel carefully balanced. The drydown leans on Musk plus Vanille and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather β€” in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Montale knows how to compose, and Wild Pears (2011) is proof. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Pear with a hint of Bergamot β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
