   Mugler knows how to compose, and Alien Fusion (2019) is proof. The very first sniff is crisp Ginger with Cinnamon peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orange Blossom with Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Alien Fusion (2019) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Ginger with Cinnamon peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Orange Blossom and Tuberose feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orange Blossom with Tuberose, which is where the fragrance really shines. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A couple of wears in, Alien Fusion has really grown on me. The opening is built around Ginger and Cinnamon — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

    Everyone keeps talking about Alien Fusion, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on White Amber plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The first minutes are all about Ginger with a hint of Cinnamon — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

    I picked up Alien Fusion (2019) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on White Amber and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
