   I picked up Angel Nova (2020) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The drydown leans on Akigalawood® plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Akigalawood® and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Angel Nova has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Damask Rose, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Raspberry with a hint of Litchi — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Everyone keeps talking about Angel Nova, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Raspberry with Litchi peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Raspberry/Litchi impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

As it settles, Akigalawood® and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

    A friend passed me a decant of Angel Nova (2020) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Akigalawood® and Benzoin come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Akigalawood® and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
