   A couple of wears in, Aura Mugler has really grown on me. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Green Notes with Orange Blossom, which is where the fragrance really shines. Right away I get mostly Rhubarb Leaf alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   Mugler knows how to compose, and Aura Mugler (2017) is proof. The heart is the best part for me: Green Notes and Orange Blossom feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Bourbon Vanilla and Woody Notes come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I picked up Aura Mugler (2017) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Bourbon Vanilla and Woody Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Rhubarb Leaf and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
