   A couple of wears in, Violette Angel has really grown on me. The opening is built around Sugar and Violet Leaf — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   For a 2005 release, Violette Angel deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Violet with Woodsy Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Patchouli and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Picked up a sample of Violette Angel after reading the community buzz (2005). The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The first minutes are all about Sugar with a hint of Violet Leaf — it grabs attention without being pushy. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A decant of Violette Angel sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The very first sniff is crisp Sugar with Violet Leaf peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vanilla and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

The composition is well made but not for me.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
