Nasomatto knows how to compose, and Pardon (2011) is proof. The base rests on Agarwood (Oud) and Sandalwood β€” warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Magnolia and Flowers β€” bright and immediately recognizable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

For a 2011 release, Pardon deserves more attention than it gets. The first minutes are all about Magnolia with a hint of Flowers β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Magnolia and Flowers β€” bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

My first Nasomatto experience was this one, Pardon (2011). The very first sniff is crisp Magnolia with Flowers peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Dark Chocolate with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

My first Nasomatto experience was this one, Pardon (2011). Give it a little time and Dark Chocolate with Tonka Bean comes forward β€” smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Magnolia alongside Flowers, fresh and very easy to wear. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

I picked up Pardon (2011) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Dark Chocolate and Tonka Bean feel carefully balanced. The opening is built around Magnolia and Flowers β€” bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

A couple of wears in, Pardon has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Agarwood (Oud) plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. A couple of wears in, Pardon has really grown on me. As it settles, Agarwood (Oud) and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The first minutes are all about Magnolia with a hint of Flowers β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I would happily buy a full bottle.

A decant of Pardon sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Dark Chocolate with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Magnolia with a hint of Flowers β€” it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

For a 2011 release, Pardon deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Dark Chocolate with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Magnolia/Flowers impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Picked up a sample of Pardon after reading the community buzz (2011). Give it a little time and Dark Chocolate with Tonka Bean comes forward β€” smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Dark Chocolate with Tonka Bean, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. The composition is well made but not for me.
