   A decant of Hundred Silent Ways sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Gardenia with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. As it settles, Vanilla and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A couple of wears in, Hundred Silent Ways has really grown on me. The opening is built around Tuberose and Peach — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Tuberose/Peach impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I have owned Hundred Silent Ways for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The heart is the best part for me: Gardenia and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Gardenia with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Gardenia with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
