   Everyone keeps talking about Anni, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Tropical Fruits with Apricot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Sweet Notes and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   O Boticário knows how to compose, and Anni (2010) is proof. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Freesia feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I picked up Anni (2010) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Tropical Fruits with Apricot peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Freesia, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
