   I keep reaching for Woody Mood more than I expected to. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Clary Sage, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Sequoia and Incense feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   For a 2017 release, Woody Mood deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sequoia with Incense, which is where the fragrance really shines. The first minutes are all about Ginger with a hint of Clary Sage — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Woody Mood has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Cacao plus Styrax and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Ginger with Clary Sage peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I’ve been wearing Woody Mood on and off for a few weeks now (2017). The base rests on Cacao and Styrax — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Ginger with Clary Sage peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.
