   A decant of Volare sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Praline and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. As it settles, Praline and Leather come through and give it real depth. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   Picked up a sample of Volare after reading the community buzz (2014). That first spray gives a lovely Violet Leaf/Galbanum impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Praline and Leather come through and give it real depth. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   Everyone keeps talking about Volare, so I finally gave it a proper test. Give it a little time and Rose Petals with Gardenia comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Praline and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Volare (2014) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Praline plus Leather and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Praline and Leather come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
