   Everyone keeps talking about Island Vanilla, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Vanille and White Honey feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Vanille with White Honey comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I’ve been wearing Island Vanilla on and off for a few weeks now (2012). The heart is the best part for me: Vanille and White Honey feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Vanille with White Honey comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   A friend passed me a decant of Island Vanilla (2012) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Vanille with White Honey comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vanille with White Honey, which is where the fragrance really shines. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Island Vanilla. Give it a little time and Vanille with White Honey comes forward — smooth and well done. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vanille with White Honey, which is where the fragrance really shines. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
