   I’ve been wearing Darcy on and off for a few weeks now (2014). The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Sweet Notes and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Citruses and Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I picked up Darcy (2014) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. That first spray gives a lovely Citruses/Orange impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   I keep reaching for Darcy more than I expected to. Right away I get mostly Citruses alongside Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Citruses/Orange impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

   For a 2014 release, Darcy deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Citruses with Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Patchouli and Sweet Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Everyone keeps talking about Darcy, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Patchouli and Sweet Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Rose with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   A couple of wears in, Darcy has really grown on me. The heart is the best part for me: Rose and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Rose with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I would happily buy a full bottle.
