   Picked up a sample of Haltane after reading the community buzz (2021). The heart is the best part for me: Saffron and Praline feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Lavender with Clary Sage peeking through, very much my kind of start. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Parfums de Marly knows how to compose, and Haltane (2021) is proof. As it settles, Agarwood (Oud) and Cedar come through and give it real depth. Right away I get mostly Lavender alongside Clary Sage, fresh and very easy to wear. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I’ve been wearing Haltane on and off for a few weeks now (2021). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Saffron with Praline, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Saffron and Praline feel carefully balanced. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   A couple of wears in, Haltane has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Lavender with Clary Sage peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Lavender/Clary Sage impression that dries down smoothly. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   A friend passed me a decant of Haltane (2021) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Saffron with Praline, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, Agarwood (Oud) and Cedar come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The opening is built around Lavender and Clary Sage — bright and immediately recognizable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
