   I’ve been wearing Palatine on and off for a few weeks now (2024). The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   Picked up a sample of Palatine after reading the community buzz (2024). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Floral bouquet, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I picked up Palatine (2024) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Musk and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   My first Parfums de Marly experience was this one, Palatine (2024). The very first sniff is crisp Pear with Bergamot peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Pear alongside Bergamot, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

    I have owned Palatine for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Pear and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Musk and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

The drydown leans on Musk plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. The composition is well made but not for me.
