   I keep reaching for Splendiris more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Violet with Orris, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Violet Leaves/Carrot Seeds impression that dries down smoothly. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A couple of wears in, Splendiris has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaves with Carrot Seeds peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Ambergris and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

The heart is the best part for me: Violet and Orris feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I have owned Splendiris for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. That first spray gives a lovely Violet Leaves/Carrot Seeds impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Violet Leaves with a hint of Carrot Seeds — it grabs attention without being pushy. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I picked up Splendiris (2019) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Violet Leaves with Carrot Seeds peeking through, very much my kind of start. Right away I get mostly Violet Leaves alongside Carrot Seeds, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
