   Picked up a sample of December Vanilla after reading the community buzz (2023). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Vanilla with Spicy Notes, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Spicy Notes feel carefully balanced. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I picked up December Vanilla (2023) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Rum and Vanilla Orchid — bright and immediately recognizable. The heart is the best part for me: Vanilla and Spicy Notes feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The very first sniff is crisp Rum with Vanilla Orchid peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

The base rests on Patchouli and Brown sugar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I have owned December Vanilla for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Give it a little time and Vanilla with Spicy Notes comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Rum alongside Vanilla Orchid, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
