   A couple of wears in, Halfeti has really grown on me. The opening is built around Cypress Leaf and Saffron — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Cypress Leaf with a hint of Saffron — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   For a 2015 release, Halfeti deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Bulgarian Rose with Nutmeg, which is where the fragrance really shines. The base rests on Agarwood (Oud) and Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   My first Penhaligon’s experience was this one, Halfeti (2015). Right away I get mostly Cypress Leaf alongside Saffron, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Bulgarian Rose with Nutmeg, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I picked up Halfeti (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Cypress Leaf with Saffron peeking through, very much my kind of start. As it settles, Agarwood (Oud) and Cedar come through and give it real depth. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.
