   A decant of Halfeti Cedar sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. Give it a little time and Virginia Cedar with Dried Fruits comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Atlas Cedar and Tonka Bean — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A couple of wears in, Halfeti Cedar has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Rum alongside Saffron, fresh and very easy to wear. The first minutes are all about Rum with a hint of Saffron — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   My first Penhaligon’s experience was this one, Halfeti Cedar (2020). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Virginia Cedar with Dried Fruits, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Virginia Cedar and Dried Fruits feel carefully balanced. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   Everyone keeps talking about Halfeti Cedar, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Virginia Cedar and Dried Fruits feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Rum alongside Saffron, fresh and very easy to wear. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
