   I have owned Lothair for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Juniper and Cardamom — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Vanilla and Woody Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I picked up Lothair (2014) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Juniper and Cardamom — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Woody Notes and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   Everyone keeps talking about Lothair, so I finally gave it a proper test. The heart is the best part for me: Fig Tree and Lavender feel carefully balanced. The base rests on Vanilla and Woody Notes — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
