   I keep reaching for Terrible Teddy more than I expected to. Right away I get mostly Incense, fresh and very easy to wear. The opening is built around Incense — bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Terrible Teddy has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Incense, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, Ambroxan come through and give it real depth. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   For a 2019 release, Terrible Teddy deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Leather feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Incense, fresh and very easy to wear. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I keep reaching for Terrible Teddy more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Incense impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   My first Penhaligon’s experience was this one, Terrible Teddy (2019). The drydown leans on Ambroxan and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Leather feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.
