   A friend passed me a decant of Tea Rose (1977) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Geranium and Violet Leaves come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Bulgarian Rose with Damask Rose comes forward — smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A decant of Tea Rose sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The opening is built around Peony and Chamomile — bright and immediately recognizable. As it settles, Geranium and Violet Leaves come through and give it real depth. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I’ve been wearing Tea Rose on and off for a few weeks now (1977). The base rests on Geranium and Violet Leaves — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The opening is built around Peony and Chamomile — bright and immediately recognizable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   Everyone keeps talking about Tea Rose, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Peony with Chamomile peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Geranium plus Violet Leaves and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. The composition is well made but not for me.

   For a 1977 release, Tea Rose deserves more attention than it gets. The drydown leans on Geranium plus Violet Leaves and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. As it settles, Geranium and Violet Leaves come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

The heart is the best part for me: Bulgarian Rose and Damask Rose feel carefully balanced. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

That first spray gives a lovely Peony/Chamomile impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
