   My first Pierre Guillaume Paris experience was this one, Cuir Venenum 03 (2004). Right away I get mostly Orange Blossom alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. Give it a little time and Coconut comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I’ve been wearing Cuir Venenum 03 on and off for a few weeks now (2004). The base rests on Leather and Myrrh — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Orange Blossom with a hint of Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Cuir Venenum 03. Right away I get mostly Orange Blossom alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Orange Blossom/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   For a 2004 release, Cuir Venenum 03 deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Orange Blossom with Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Coconut, which is where the fragrance really shines. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I have owned Cuir Venenum 03 for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. Right away I get mostly Orange Blossom alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Leather plus Myrrh and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

As it settles, Leather and Myrrh come through and give it real depth. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I would happily buy a full bottle.

A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
