   I picked up Play It Lovely (2010) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The very first sniff is crisp Blackberry with Citruses peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Orchid and Night blooming Cereus feel carefully balanced. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I picked up Play It Lovely (2010) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The base rests on Tonka Bean and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Tonka Bean plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   I’ve been wearing Play It Lovely on and off for a few weeks now (2010). Right away I get mostly Blackberry alongside Citruses, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Orchid and Night blooming Cereus feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A couple of wears in, Play It Lovely has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Blackberry with a hint of Citruses — it grabs attention without being pushy. As it settles, Tonka Bean and Amber come through and give it real depth. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Orchid with Night blooming Cereus, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Orchid and Night blooming Cereus feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
