   A friend passed me a decant of Play It Sexy (2010) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Vanille plus Tonka Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 2010 release, Play It Sexy deserves more attention than it gets. The base rests on Vanille and Tonka Bean — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Mandarin Orange, fresh and very easy to wear. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   Playboy knows how to compose, and Play It Sexy (2010) is proof. Give it a little time and Licorice with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Licorice and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.
