   Picked up a sample of To Be after reading the community buzz (2011). The very first sniff is crisp Grapefruit with Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Amber and Virginia Cedar — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 2011 release, To Be deserves more attention than it gets. The opening is built around Grapefruit and Pepper — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Grapefruit/Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. The composition is well made but not for me.

   A couple of wears in, To Be has really grown on me. As it settles, Amber and Virginia Cedar come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Violet Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
