   I’ve been wearing Candy L’Eau on and off for a few weeks now (2013). The opening is built around Citruses — bright and immediately recognizable. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Sweet Pea, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I have owned Candy L’Eau for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Caramel plus Benzoin and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The heart is the best part for me: Sweet Pea feel carefully balanced. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   I have owned Candy L’Eau for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The opening is built around Citruses — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Citruses impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   A friend passed me a decant of Candy L’Eau (2013) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Citruses, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Caramel and Benzoin — warm, grounded and easy to live with. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.
