   I picked up Heliotrope (2013) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. That first spray gives a lovely Fig/Green Notes impression that dries down smoothly. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Almond with Heliotrope, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Almond with Heliotrope, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   A couple of wears in, Heliotrope has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Fig with a hint of Green Notes — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Fig/Green Notes impression that dries down smoothly. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Heliotrope, so I finally gave it a proper test. Right away I get mostly Fig alongside Green Notes, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Vanilla and Tonka Bean — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.
