   Rituals knows how to compose, and Roi d’Orient (2015) is proof. The heart is the best part for me: Amber and White Pepper feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Amber with White Pepper, which is where the fragrance really shines. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   A decant of Roi d’Orient sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Amber and White Pepper feel carefully balanced. Give it a little time and Amber with White Pepper comes forward — smooth and well done. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The heart is the best part for me: Amber and White Pepper feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
