   Robert Piguet knows how to compose, and Baghari 2006 (2006) is proof. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes — it grabs attention without being pushy. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Baghari 2006 more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Bulgarian Rose with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Amber plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   For a 2006 release, Baghari 2006 deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Bulgarian Rose and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. As it settles, Amber and Musk come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   Everyone keeps talking about Baghari 2006, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Aldehydes, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Bulgarian Rose and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I have owned Baghari 2006 for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. As it settles, Amber and Musk come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Amber and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.
