   I picked up Fracas (1948) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Peach and Orange Blossom — bright and immediately recognizable. That first spray gives a lovely Peach/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Fracas (1948) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Musk and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tuberose with Jasmine, which is where the fragrance really shines. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

That first spray gives a lovely Peach/Orange Blossom impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
