   I’ve been wearing Florence on and off for a few weeks now (2017). The opening is built around Black Currant and Mandarin Orange — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Patchouli and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Florence. The base rests on Patchouli and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Amber and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   A friend passed me a decant of Florence (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. As it settles, Patchouli and Amber come through and give it real depth. The base rests on Patchouli and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   For a 2017 release, Florence deserves more attention than it gets. The very first sniff is crisp Black Currant with Mandarin Orange peeking through, very much my kind of start. The base rests on Patchouli and Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

As it settles, Patchouli and Amber come through and give it real depth. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I would happily buy a full bottle.
