   I keep reaching for Roberto Cavalli Acqua more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Watery Notes with Jasmine peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Watery Notes with a hint of Jasmine — it grabs attention without being pushy. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

   I keep reaching for Roberto Cavalli Acqua more than I expected to. As it settles, Musk come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lily-of-the-Valley, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   For a 2013 release, Roberto Cavalli Acqua deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Lily-of-the-Valley comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I picked up Roberto Cavalli Acqua (2013) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. As it settles, Musk come through and give it real depth. The first minutes are all about Watery Notes with a hint of Jasmine — it grabs attention without being pushy. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
