   I keep reaching for Oceania more than I expected to. The opening is built around Lemon and Litsea cubeba — bright and immediately recognizable. The first minutes are all about Lemon with a hint of Litsea cubeba — it grabs attention without being pushy. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I wanted to like it more than I did.

   I have owned Oceania for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The drydown leans on Cedarwood plus Juniper berry and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Lemon and Litsea cubeba — bright and immediately recognizable. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A friend passed me a decant of Oceania (2019) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The very first sniff is crisp Lemon with Litsea cubeba peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine Sambac and Geranium feel carefully balanced. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The first minutes are all about Lemon with a hint of Litsea cubeba — it grabs attention without being pushy. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   For a 2019 release, Oceania deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Jasmine Sambac with Geranium comes forward — smooth and well done. Right away I get mostly Lemon alongside Litsea cubeba, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

The base rests on Cedarwood and Juniper berry — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
