   A decant of Dalissime sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The base rests on Vanilla and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. I would happily buy a full bottle.

   Everyone keeps talking about Dalissime, so I finally gave it a proper test. The very first sniff is crisp Peach with Apricot peeking through, very much my kind of start. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A couple of wears in, Dalissime has really grown on me. As it settles, Vanilla and Sandalwood come through and give it real depth. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   For a 1994 release, Dalissime deserves more attention than it gets. Give it a little time and Marigold with Jasmine comes forward — smooth and well done. The heart is the best part for me: Marigold and Jasmine feel carefully balanced. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Dalissime (1994) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The drydown leans on Vanilla plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Peach/Apricot impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
