   I picked up Cuir mauresque (1996) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Leather with Myrhh, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Leather and Myrhh feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
