   I’ve been wearing Sisley Eau de 3 on and off for a few weeks now (2009). The drydown leans on Patchouli plus Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Amalfi Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for Sisley Eau de 3 more than I expected to. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Amalfi Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ginger with Osmanthus, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   For a 2009 release, Sisley Eau de 3 deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ginger with Osmanthus, which is where the fragrance really shines. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Amalfi Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

   A friend passed me a decant of Sisley Eau de 3 (2009) and I wasn’t prepared for it. The heart is the best part for me: Ginger and Osmanthus feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Amalfi Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

   I have owned Sisley Eau de 3 for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Bergamot with a hint of Amalfi Lemon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Ginger with Osmanthus comes forward — smooth and well done. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Ginger with Osmanthus, which is where the fragrance really shines. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   Sisley knows how to compose, and Sisley Eau de 3 (2009) is proof. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Amalfi Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear.    Everyone keeps talking about Sisley Eau de 3, so I finally gave it a proper test. The opening is built around Bergamot and Amalfi Lemon — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Amalfi Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.
