   Everyone keeps talking about Tabac, so I finally gave it a proper test. The drydown leans on Tobacco plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Lavender — bright and immediately recognizable. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   Picked up a sample of Tabac after reading the community buzz (1959). As it settles, Tobacco and Musk come through and give it real depth. Give it a little time and Carnation with Sandalwood comes forward — smooth and well done. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Tabac has really grown on me. The first minutes are all about Aldehydes with a hint of Lavender — it grabs attention without being pushy. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Carnation with Sandalwood, which is where the fragrance really shines. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I’ve been wearing Tabac on and off for a few weeks now (1959). That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. As it settles, Tobacco and Musk come through and give it real depth. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   A friend passed me a decant of Tabac (1959) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Give it a little time and Carnation with Sandalwood comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Tobacco plus Musk and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   A decant of Tabac sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. That first spray gives a lovely Aldehydes/Lavender impression that dries down smoothly. The opening is built around Aldehydes and Lavender — bright and immediately recognizable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. The composition is well made but not for me.
