   Tauer Perfumes knows how to compose, and Sundowner (2021) is proof. Right away I get mostly Cinnamon alongside Orange Peel, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Ambergris and Sandalwood — warm, grounded and easy to live with. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I’ve been wearing Sundowner on and off for a few weeks now (2021). The very first sniff is crisp Cinnamon with Orange Peel peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Cinnamon with a hint of Orange Peel — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   A couple of wears in, Sundowner has really grown on me. The drydown leans on Ambergris plus Sandalwood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. That first spray gives a lovely Cinnamon/Orange Peel impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Sundowner. The very first sniff is crisp Cinnamon with Orange Peel peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Cinnamon/Orange Peel impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

The opening is built around Cinnamon and Orange Peel — bright and immediately recognizable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
