   I’ve been wearing Rumba on and off for a few weeks now (1989). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honey with Marigold, which is where the fragrance really shines. As it settles, Oakmoss and Leather come through and give it real depth. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   I’ve been wearing Rumba on and off for a few weeks now (1989). The first minutes are all about Plum with a hint of Peach — it grabs attention without being pushy. That first spray gives a lovely Plum/Peach impression that dries down smoothly. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

The base rests on Oakmoss and Leather — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   My first Ted Lapidus experience was this one, Rumba (1989). After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Honey with Marigold, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Marigold feel carefully balanced. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

The very first sniff is crisp Plum with Peach peeking through, very much my kind of start. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

The first minutes are all about Plum with a hint of Peach — it grabs attention without being pushy. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   A friend passed me a decant of Rumba (1989) and I wasn’t prepared for it. Right away I get mostly Plum alongside Peach, fresh and very easy to wear. The heart is the best part for me: Honey and Marigold feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Give it a little time and Honey with Marigold comes forward — smooth and well done. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.
