For a 2009 release, Giulietta deserves more attention than it gets. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lilac with Lily-of-the-Valley, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Granny Smith apple and Ylang-Ylang — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I would happily buy a full bottle.

Everyone keeps talking about Giulietta, so I finally gave it a proper test. The first minutes are all about Granny Smith apple with a hint of Ylang-Ylang — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown leans on Musk plus Heliotrope and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I wanted to like it more than I did.

Picked up a sample of Giulietta after reading the community buzz (2009). The drydown leans on Musk plus Heliotrope and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

My first Tocca experience was this one, Giulietta (2009). That first spray gives a lovely Granny Smith apple/Ylang-Ylang impression that dries down smoothly. The heart is the best part for me: Lilac and Lily-of-the-Valley feel carefully balanced. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Easily one of my favourite finds this season.

I’ve been wearing Giulietta on and off for a few weeks now (2009). Give it a little time and Lilac with Lily-of-the-Valley comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Musk plus Heliotrope and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Giulietta. The drydown leans on Musk plus Heliotrope and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Right away I get mostly Granny Smith apple alongside Ylang-Ylang, fresh and very easy to wear. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I would happily buy a full bottle.

I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Giulietta. The base rests on Musk and Heliotrope — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The very first sniff is crisp Granny Smith apple with Ylang-Ylang peeking through, very much my kind of start. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

A decant of Giulietta sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The very first sniff is crisp Granny Smith apple with Ylang-Ylang peeking through, very much my kind of start. The first minutes are all about Granny Smith apple with a hint of Ylang-Ylang — it grabs attention without being pushy. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

Tocca knows how to compose, and Giulietta (2009) is proof. As it settles, Musk and Heliotrope come through and give it real depth. The very first sniff is crisp Granny Smith apple with Ylang-Ylang peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. It is fine, but it does not stand out in my collection.

The heart is the best part for me: Lilac and Lily-of-the-Valley feel carefully balanced. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. I would happily buy a full bottle.
