Tom Ford knows how to compose, and Jasmin Rouge (2011) is proof. The opening is built around Ginger and Cinnamon — bright and immediately recognizable. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

A couple of wears in, Jasmin Rouge has really grown on me. As it settles, Amber and Vanille come through and give it real depth. That first spray gives a lovely Ginger/Cinnamon impression that dries down smoothly. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

I’ve been wearing Jasmin Rouge on and off for a few weeks now (2011). The opening is built around Ginger and Cinnamon — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Amber plus Vanille and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

I keep reaching for Jasmin Rouge more than I expected to. That first spray gives a lovely Ginger/Cinnamon impression that dries down smoothly. The drydown leans on Amber plus Vanille and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

I’ve been wearing Jasmin Rouge on and off for a few weeks now (2011). The very first sniff is crisp Ginger with Cinnamon peeking through, very much my kind of start. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.

A decant of Jasmin Rouge sat in my box for weeks before I finally wore it. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Jasmine with Ylang-Ylang, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

For a 2011 release, Jasmin Rouge deserves more attention than it gets. That first spray gives a lovely Ginger/Cinnamon impression that dries down smoothly. Give it a little time and Jasmine with Ylang-Ylang comes forward — smooth and well done. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

Everyone keeps talking about Jasmin Rouge, so I finally gave it a proper test. The base rests on Amber and Vanille — warm, grounded and easy to live with. A couple of wears in, Jasmin Rouge has really grown on me. The opening is built around Ginger and Cinnamon — bright and immediately recognizable. I picked up Jasmin Rouge (2011) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The heart is the best part for me: Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang feel carefully balanced. Right away I get mostly Ginger alongside Cinnamon, fresh and very easy to wear. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

I keep reaching for Jasmin Rouge more than I expected to. The base rests on Amber and Vanille — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The first minutes are all about Ginger with a hint of Cinnamon — it grabs attention without being pushy. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

The first minutes are all about Ginger with a hint of Cinnamon — it grabs attention without being pushy. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.
